Wednesday 29 September Depart Heathrow, for Delhi
Thursday 30 September Delhi to Kathmandu (Jet Airways), 1337m / 4385ft
Friday 1 October Tour of Kathmandu, then the Thamel district
Saturday 2 October Flight over the Himalayas (Yeti Airlines), then flight to Pokhara 939m / 3080ft. Tour of Pokhara
Sunday 3 October First trek: Lumle 1610m / 5280ft to Sanctuary Lodge, near Birethanti 1080m / 3540ft (~ 3 hours)
Monday 4 October Trek: Sanctuary Lodge to Himalaya Lodge 2000m / 6560ft, near Ghandruk (~ 7 hours)
Tuesday 5 October At Himalaya Lodge. Trek to and around Ghandruk (~ 3 hours)
Wednesday 6 October Trek: Himalaya Lodge to Sanctuary Lodge (~ 6 hours)
Thursday 7 October Trek: Sanctuary Lodge to Gurung Lodge, Majhgaun 2290m / 7500ft (~ 4 hours). School children entertain us.
Friday 8 October Trek: Gurung Lodge to Basanta Lodge, near Dhampus 1525m / 5000ft (~ 3 hours)
Saturday 9 October Trek: Basanta Lodge to pick-up point on the Pokhara Road (~ 2 hours). Transfer to Shangri La Hotel.
Sunday 10 October Flight from Pokhara to Kathmandu (Yeti Airlines). Tour of medieval town of Bhaktapur.
Monday 11 October Transfer to Kathmandu Airport for flight home via Delhi.
